Biography

Gábor Hosszú, Doctor of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (DSc), graduated with an MSc in Electrical Engineering from the Budapest University of Technology (BME) and subsequently served as a Research Fellow of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.

In 2013, he earned his habilitation (Dr. habil.) in Computer Science within the field of Engineering Sciences at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. In 2011, he obtained a degree in Law from the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences at Pázmány Péter Catholic University.

His professional excellence has been recognized with numerous prestigious awards, including the Dean’s Commendation (BME VIK, 2011), the Pollack-Virág Award (2009), and the György Ferenczi Memorial Foundation Award (1995) for his outstanding achievements in semiconductor research. He was also honored with the Silver Badge of the Scientific Association for Infocommunications (1993) and the "Best Author" Prize from the journal Híradástechnika (1990).

Currently, he is an Associate Professor at the Department of Electron Devices at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. He has published his scientific results extensively in numerous journal articles and has been a frequent presenter at international conferences.
